The West Midlands aviation opportunity

So argues this report, which looks at opportunities for the airport’s growth. With a station planned for the airport itself, the paper says HS2 will “bring substantial numbers of new passengers within faster reach”. Those people will come from London, but also the North West and Yorkshire once Phase Two of HS2 is built. Taken together, that demand could translate into 750,000 passengers - or around 8% of current throughput.
