Connecting cities: Emerging markets

Modern payment systems, real-time travel information and passenger behavioural data are key to growth of urban transport. Moving away from its traditional domain, MasterCard has formed MasterCard Enterprise Partnerships with the aim of unlocking the potential of cities with smarter travel. They believe that future prosperity in cities can only be secured if workers can get to their offices and if people find cities attractive for both work and leisure. The research is to kick-start a dialogue around collaboration in urban mobility and development.
