Train fares increasing much faster than wages, says action group

Campaign group Action for Rail has reported that while average pay has gone up 8.7% since 2010, season tickets and other regulated fares have jumped 25%. Transport Correspondent Tanya Powley also reports that the Campaign for Better Transport has found Britain lags behind European countries in offering flexible ticketing for part-time commuters. The Rail Delivery Group called Action for Rail's statistics "highly questionable.” - TS
