Mayor unable to narrow TfL pay gap

“The gender pay gap at Transport for London has grown wider despite Sadiq Khan’s promise to tackle the issue,” writes Kaya Burgess.

New figures released show that female TfL employees earn an average of £22.08 per hour compared with £28.14 earned by male staff, and that 85.8% of men received a bonus in 2018 compared with 79.4% of women.

Within the Greater London Authority the pay gap fell from 6.1 to 4.8%.
