Hyperloop One made its debut at the InnoTrans exhibition held in Berlin in September as one of several companies developing the concept of Hyperloop – propelling maglev passenger vehicles through a vacuum at high speeds.
CEO Rob Lloyd reported that the company will launch trials of a 0.5km prototype in Nevada, having raised more than $100m in funding from investors including German Rail and French National Railways. He added that its first commercial application could be ready by 2021.
