UIC is looking to make a difference to the growing skills shortage in the industry on an international scale. Members of UIC are pleased that railway people are voicing support for attracting new talent but concerned that they are not making it happen. “What companies involved in the rail mode need is a deep culture transformation in terms of human resources, a shift in their processes to become a talent-development engine. The commitment of industry leaders is arguably the key precursor for successful engagement with the next generation.”
