Bridging the Visual Gap

Network Rail has contributed design data to a new App that enables passengers to use augmented reality (AR) in order to view replacement footbridges at their local stations. 

The App, called ARki, provides 3D visualisations of how planned buildings would appear in situ, and now incorporates visualisations of new standard footbridge designs. 

Network Rail says it will allow a new level of engagement with stakeholders by “giving customers a glimpse of their future station.
