Remodelling of part of the track layout at Clapham Junction will contribute to disruption to south London services out of Victoria station for several months.
Network Rail is investing £160 million in the redesign of Falcon Junction and other locations to raise line speeds, increase reliability, and create extra service capacity between the London terminus and East Croydon and beyond.
Falcon Junction provides access to Streatham. Another location for renewal along the same corridor is Balham North Junction.
Five weekends of ‘Victoria 3’ possessions began on June 27, with several more planned up to the end of the year. Future dates for line closures and service cancellations are the weekends of October 16/17, November 27/28, and December 25-January 2.
