Time is running out to register for RAIL’s first ever webinar.
Chaired by RAIL Managing Editor Nigel Harris, the 45-minute live streaming event will examine how mental health and wellbeing is being promoted across the rail industry, with high-profile speakers including Rail Minister Chris Heaton-Harris, HM Chief Inspector of Railways Ian Prosser CBE and Network Rail’s Suicide Prevention Programme Manager Ian Stevens MBE.
With a particular focus on the added psychological strain currently being presented by the Coronavirus pandemic, representatives from LNER and Southeastern will provide practical case studies on how these efforts are being implemented on the front line.
There will also be an opportunity for viewers to ask questions during a live Q&A session.
RAIL Deputy Editor Stefanie Foster said: “RAIL is pleased to be hosting this webinar on a topic that touches so many people’s lives, whether you work in the rail industry or elsewhere.
“We hope that by raising awareness of the issues surrounding mental health on the railway, it will encourage a more open conversation about what we can do as an industry to support staff and passengers.”
Supporting each other: mental health and the railway takes place at 1400 on July 1.
