Greater Anglia unveiled a mock-up for its Class 720 Aventra fleet at Derby Litchurch Lane on September 11. The design is still to be finalised, which is due in November, with construction due to start before the end of the year. The first trains will begin testing next year, and the first trains enter traffic in 2019. They will be used on all GA routes from London Liverpool Street currently served by Class 317, '321', '360' and '379' other than Stansted Express routes, and will also run to Norwich once an hour.

What about bike storage? Is there provision or is it just in the vestibule as currently? Disappointing to see a return to five-abreast seating.

Can't wait to see these new trains in service from 2019. They will look similar to the other Aventra rolling stocks that Bombardier are currently building at the moment including the Elizabeth Line Class 345's and Class 710's next year for London Overground.

There doesn't need to be fold out chairs by the doors. Now there's even less room to stand. Looks like I'll be driving by car into London
