A ten-week consultation has begun on protecting land for potential Crossrail 2 development.
London authorities, businesses and residents along the proposed Crossrail 2 route can have their say on plans to protect the route from conflicting development during the consultation, which was launched on November 20.
It will ensure any new development will not affect the ability to build Crossrail 2 in the future and refresh existing safeguarding directions for the line.
The Mayor of London, Transport for London and Network Rail have proposed the new railway line linking south west and north east London and beyond (underground linking Tottenham Hale and New Southgate to Wimbledon) to meet future passenger demand in the capital. If the project goes ahead, it is expected to attract businesses and new home developments to the area.
