British Transport Police and Northern staff were recognised at RAIL's National Rail Awards 2017 on September 21 for their services and bravery during the Manchester and London Bridge terror attacks earlier this year. Among those on stage to accept the award for Manchester were PC Phil Healy and his Explosive Detection Dog Mojo. The pair were first on the scene following the attack in Manchester on May 22 when 22 people were killed and 120 injured while leaving a concert at Manchester Arena, when a suicide bomber blew himself up near an exit within Manchester Victoria station. Healy and Mojo searched the area, including the main blast site, for secondary devices.
The following is a short interview conducted by RAIL's Managing Editor Nigel Harris when they collected the award, along with colleagues from the BTP in Manchester.
