Former transport minister Glenda Jackson CBE has died, aged 87.
Jackson was elected as MP for the Hampstead and Highgate constituency in 1992 and became Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport under the new Labour government in May 1997. She had previously been opposition transport spokesman.
