A start has been made on installing more than 200 life-saving defibrillators at stations across Wales and the Borders. All should be in place by the spring.
Coinciding with ‘Defibruary’, a month-long campaign by the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, the first phase of the programme will involve them being placed into 53 Transport for Wales stations.
Their locations will be uploaded onto the British Heart Foundation’s bespoke portal, The Circuit, so that the public and railway staff can swiftly find them if they witness a cardiac arrest. Emergency training is also available.
