East Midlands Railway is to spend more than £400,000 upgrading and refreshing all 12 stations along the Cleethorpes-Barton-on-Humber branch.
The unstaffed Humberside halts are to gain electronic help points as well as a repaint, new signage and information boards, and benches. Replacement fencing will also be erected at Thornton Abbey and New Clee.
EMR, which took over responsibility for the route’s two-hourly services from Northern last May, expects the work to be finished by late spring.
