Trudy Harrison, newly appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport, is the latest keynote speaker to be confirmed for the Smart Transport Conference at County Hall, London, on November 30.
Organised by RAIL publisher Bauer Media, the conference aims to bring the transport community together to explore the roadmap to decarbonising transport by 2050.
Other speakers include Transport Focus Chief Executive Anthony Smith, Campaign for Better Transport Chief Executive Paul Tuohy, Transport for the North Chief Executive Martin Tugwell, and Climate Change Committee Chairman Lord Deben.
Topics include the cost of achieving net zero and putting equality at the heart of local transport policy. There will also be breakout sessions on subjects including decarbonising freight and funding requirements for a viable local transport plan.
