London Underground’s Capital Programmes Director David Waboso is moving to Network Rail to become Managing Director, Digital Railway. He is set to start work in June.
In his current job he has led a £1.5 billion annual Tube upgrade programme. NR describes him as an “internationally renowned engineer and project manager with decades of experience”.
In his new role, he will lead NR’s Digital Railway directorate, which includes the Digital Railway Programme. He’s a member of the NR executive committee and will report to chief executive Mark Carne. Waboso replaces Jerry England, who retires later this year. There will be a handover period.
