Rob McIntosh is Network Rail’s new Route Managing Director for London North Eastern and East Midlands, and will begin work in January.
McIntosh has worked on the railway for 19 years, beginning as a graduate overhead line engineer based at York. Most recently he was regional director in Scotland, working on the Borders Railway, which opened in September.
Prior to that his experience includes NR programme director on Crossrail and project director for the European Train Control System and Traffic Management.
