Passengers have been invited to write poetry about rail journey issues in order to raise awareness across London’s transport network.
The Travel Better London campaign has been launched by Transport for London and uses poems to advise how passengers can help reduce disruption to journeys and improve the environment for other travellers. Poetry topics include not dropping litter, allowing passengers off trains first and not playing loud music.
The campaign was started as part of the Mayor for London’s commitment to reduce passenger delays in London. Disruptive passenger actions caused 430 hours of journey delays in 2014.
The winning poem will be made into a poster and displayed across the London transport network. Passengers can enter the competition by visiting the Travel Better London Tumblr page.
