A special rail tour organised by First TransPennine Express and the Branch Line Society in November raised £20,000 for the Railway Children charity.
A Class 185 ‘Desiro’ carried rail enthusiasts to and from York, passing through locations such as Crofton Depot and Middlesbrough West Dock. Raffles and auctions were also held by TPE staff

Its the running of specials such as this that led to Tim Brawn winning the charity award at the RailStaff Awards. Well done Tim!
