Two previously preserved Class 37s (37188 and 37254) are due to be delivered to Barrow Hill by mid-November, ready for a return to the main line.
The locomotives are owned by Colas Rail, and Harry Needle Railroad Company has been contracted to return them to main line standards. They will be overhauled and fitted with relevant safety equipment. This includes GSM-R signalling equipment, Train Protection Warning System (TPWS) and On-Train Monitoring Recorder (OTMR).
