RAIB to publish Safety Digest after track workers involved in near miss

The Rail Accident Investigation Branch is going to publish a Safety Digest after a near miss in November.

A passenger train was travelling at 78mph at Morton Junction, between Chesterfield and Alfreton, at 0726 on November 27 when it was involved in a near miss with a group of track workers. Nobody was injured in the incident.

RAIB has now undertaken a preliminary examination into the circumstances and decided to publish a Safety Digest.
