The Rail Accident Investigation Branch is to publish a safety digest after an overspeed incident in east London.
A Class 345 unit on an Elizabeth Line service passed over a set of points east of Manor Park station at 45mph instead of 25mph at around 0811 on September 24.
The jolt led to some passengers losing their footing and one falling to the floor.
The unit did not derail, and no damage was caused to either the infrastructure or the train.
A RAIB spokeswoman said: “We have undertaken a preliminary examination into the circumstances surrounding this incident. Having assessed the evidence which has been gathered to date, we have decided to publish a safety digest.”
