RAIL editor Dickon Ross will interview Richard Hines, the new Chief Inspector of Railways at the Office of Rail and Road, this afternoon in a live webinar.
This interview will be an opportunity to hear from the 26th chief inspector, who succeeded from Ian Prosser earlier this summer, as he talks about the ORR’s priorities to improve the health and safety of passengers, the railway workforce and general public.
So far more than 400 people have signed up to watch the interview which comes two days after Monday’s head-on crash in mid-Wales, in which low rail adhesion has been identified as a factor.
That subject will come up in the wide-ranging interview, with other topics set to include how the industry helps disabled passengers, cybersecurity, Euston station and the regulator’s role in the era of Great British Railways.
The interview begins at 1400 today (Wednesday October 23), and you can sign up to listen in here.
