Passengers in the south-east of England will benefit from 220 new train services a week from the December timetable change.
Southeastern is boosting its timetable from Sunday December 15, introducing an additional 44 services each weekday.
The improvements include the introduction of 12 more Cannon Street Rounder services each weekday along the Woolwich and Sidcup lines, which the operator says have proved popular.
There will also be extra trains from Victoria to Orpington via Herne Hill at peak times and two more evening services from Charing Cross to Maidstone East will be extended to Ashford International.
Passengers are also being advised to check their regular train times as there has been several smaller adjustments to provide earlier services into London or to give school pupils more time to get on and off certain trains during term time.
Scott Brightwell, Southeastern’s Operations and Safety Director said: “Demand has been increasing steadily over the last few years and we are responding by adding 44 more services every weekday, including the introduction of additional Cannon Street ‘Rounder’ services for our Metro customers.
“In total, we will be providing 220 additional services every week, making it easier to travel for work, to see family and friends, or for education and healthcare appointments.”
