Martin Beable will become the new Managing Director of Greater Anglia (GA) on Monday 7 October.
Beable had been the New Trains and Fleet Director at Transport UK since October 2023.
He previously spent nearly five years as GA's Engineering Director, where he helped to oversee the full fleet replacement programme and boost the operator’s performance.
He also led the upgrades for train maintenance depots at Ilford and Norwich Crown Point.
Beable succeeds Jamie Burles, who will take up a new role at Network Rail's Eastern Region.
