The government is providing £3.5 million each to Eurotunnel at Folkestone and Eurostar at St Pancras, to prepare for the EU’s new digital Entry/Exit System which is due to start on November 10.
The money will be used to install more EES kiosks, carry out rigorous testing to reduce the risk of disruption, and support recruitment and training of staff.
