Duffield: The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway reopened on June 14, after a year during which repairs have been carried out at the site of a major landslip.
Lightmoor: Police have been searching for vandals who wrecked the Telford Steam Railway signal box on June 3, smashing every window and internal fittings, and daubing the outside brickwork with graffiti. It had only been repaired in 2016, after being set alight.
Oswestry: Shropshire Council is seeking a tenant for the first floor of the Grade 2 Listed station building that it acquired early last year, and which is undergoing a £900,000 restoration (roof works began in June). The rest of the building is let to Cambrian Heritage Railways.
