Ghost Stations - Inside Aldwych

STEFANIE BROWNE took a tour of London Underground's disused Aldwych station in December 2013, and went in search of some of the other closed stations that still have some presence above ground. Here is a selection of pictures from the visit, and the full feature can be read here.

17 A directional notice for the Bakerloo Line, on the wall near the lifts at Aldwych. It’s an unusual sight for the station, considering Aldwych is not on the Bakerloo Line! This was added at the station recently, for the filming of the Mr Selfridge period drama that aired on ITV early in 2013.
